College Readiness / Future Transfer
Student Support Services which is known as College Readiness/Future Transfer on the MPC campus is an applied Study Skills Program that assists students in successfully completing their college courses and transferring to a four-year college or university. Services are offered in course mentoring and individual assistance for current college courses. College Readiness also assists students who are re-entry level and need brush up on their basic skills. The program has been recognized statewide for its comprehensive study skills instruction in math, science and communications combined with college orientation, college visits and personal development classes.
The Future Transfer aspect of College Readiness, serves TRIO eligible students who plan to transfer to a four year university. By offering a bi-semester newsletter, trips to UC and CSU campuses and additional enrichment seminars and experiences, Future Transfer encourages students in direct ways to complete their MPC programs and to continue their education at other institutions.
