Work Performed

Work activities in this group primarily involve teaching a wide variety of physical and recreational activities and conducting physical training for schools, camps, and playgrounds. Subjects of instruction range from sedentary pursuits, such as bridge, to activities requiring physical effort, such as swimming and gymnastics. Evaluating the abilities of the student in relation to course or activity and, consequently, determining the best training methods to use in order to achieve maximum progress are important considerations.

Ability to communicate ideas and relate to people; capacity sufficient to acquire necessary experience and teaching techniques; analytical mind to organize and apply knowledge; organizational ability to plan, prepare for and/or officiate in games and competitions; manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination in applicable instances.
