Monterey Peninsula College provides a wide array of career services to meet your career development needs.  All enrolled MPC students are entitled to receive career counseling.

Are you undecided about your career direction?

See a counselor to initiate the career development process of self-assessment, career exploration, decision-making, and goal setting.  Call 646-4020 to schedule an appointment.

Do you have a tentative career goal?

You may choose to schedule an appointment with a career counselor OR visit the Career/Transfer Resource Center to explore careers with the assistance of a trained paraprofessional.

Have you decided on a career goal and a major?

Schedule an appointment with a counselor to develop an academic plan. Call 646-4020.

Have you completed a training program and need help with job search strategies?

You may either schedule an appointment with a career counselor for resume and interview assistance OR visit the Career/Transfer Resource Center for online, hard copy or video resources.

 

The MPC Career/Transfer Resource Center houses a variety of resources for student and faculty use:

EUREKA – a career information system that includes a self-assessment inventory, career information, program and college information, and job search skills

DISCOVER – a multimedia career guidance system

Online access to assessments, career information and job search tips

Shelf resources that cover the whole spectrum of the career development process

Videos of career information, resume writing tips, and interview skills

Career Planning classes are also available.  Please check the Schedule of Classes for current class offerings.
