PFIT 51 – Fitness and Wellness Strategies
Goals and Structure of
the Course:
The three primary goals of the
course are to:
- Give you information about physical fitness and wellness
- Give you information and practical tips on
goal-setting and planning
- Help you experience the steps involved in making a
behavior change
The course is structured as
follows:
- The course is divided into eight modules, one per
week
- Each week, the assignments will include:
- Reading one or more chapters in the text
- Completing and submitting to me two or more of the
activities in the Behavior Change Workbook online. You will choose one fitness or wellness
behavior that you wish to change. The Behavior Change Activities will
help you to understand your current attitudes and behavior and then help
you to gradually change to a new behavior.

discussions on topics related to the week’s topics

Quizzes every other week
3.
A Physical Fitness Plan (week 4) and a Wellness
Plan (week 8) that you develop based on your assessment of your current fitness
and wellness.
