This Pulitzer prize-winning play combines belly-laugh comedy with melting tenderness and explosive drama. Set in a run-down nursing home, The Gin Game chronicles a couple’s attempt to combat their loneliness and boredom with the game of gin. With each turn of the cards, sparks fly as the sharp-tongued pair reveal, often unwittingly, truths they concealed from each other and from themselves. From its first deceptively quiet moments to its jolting jaw-dropping climax, The Gin Game maintains an unflagging pace.
