Description of Program

We have a limited number of TI-83 plus Graphing Calculators available for loan to Statistics students at M.P.C.  If you want to borrow a calculator for the semester, sign up with your instructor during the first week of classes.  You are encouraged to buy your own calculator, if possible, so the loaner calculators are available for students with financial need.

There is no fee for borrowing the calculators, but they must be returned by the final exam day (or sooner if you withdraw from the course).  If the calculator is lost or damaged you must pay a $100 replacement fee.  Failure to return the calculator in good condition or to pay the replacement fee will result in a hold on grades, transcripts, and registration.

If there are more students than calculators, we will have a lottery.  The list of students who will get a calculator will be published on this page by Monday, Aug 31.   Your instructor will have the calculators and the check-out details by Thursday, September  3.  Unclaimed calculators will be distributed to the next person on the waiting list.

In order to borrow a calculator, you must be enrolled in Math 16, Statistics, and you must fill out the calculator  loan agreement and borrow the calculator from your instructor.
