Calculator Loan Program

February 5, 2010

We have enough calculators to accommodate
all students in John Haussermann and Gail Bartow's statistics classes.
See your instructor next week for check out details

Other Statistics students who would like to borrow an MPC calculator should check with their instructor.

Description of Program

We have a limited number of TI-83 plus Graphing Calculators available for loan to Statistics students at M.P.C.  If you want to borrow a calculator for the semester, sign up with your instructor during the first week of classes.  You are encouraged to buy your own calculator, if possible, so the loaner calculators are available for students with financial need.

There is no fee for borrowing the calculators, but they must be returned by the final exam day (or sooner if you withdraw from the course).  If the calculator is lost or damaged you must pay a $100 replacement fee.  Failure to return the calculator in good condition or to pay the replacement fee will result in a hold on grades, transcripts, and registration.

If there are more students than calculators, we will have a lottery.  The list of students who will get a calculator will be published on this page by Monday, February 8.   Your instructor will have the calculators and the check-out details by Thursday, February 11.  Unclaimed calculators will be distributed to the next person on the waiting list.

In order to borrow a calculator, you must be enrolled in Math 16, Statistics, and you must fill out the calculator  loan agreement and borrow the calculator from your instructor.
