You are expected to attend all class meetings. If you miss two consecutive quizzes
(or during the first two weeks, three consecutive days), you will be dropped from the
rolls. If you must be absent, but want to remain in the course, call the instructor.
-
If you decide to drop the class, be sure to notify the instructor and also officially drop
the course at the registrar's office by
Wednesday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m. Failure to
do this may result in you receiving a grade of F in the course.

phones, pagers and other electronic devices during class.
Cell phones may not be used as a

TESTS:
-
Quizzes: A 20-30 minute quiz will be given about once a week. The quiz questions
will be very similar to the homework problems assigned that week.
-
Exams: There will be three one-hour exams during the semester. Each exam will
cover two to four chapters in the book and will count 3 quiz grades.
-
Final Exam: The final exam will cover the entire course and will count 5 quiz grades.
The final exam for this semester will be on
Friday, May 28, 10:15 am - 12:30 pm.
-
Rules: Any violation of exam rules and procedures may result in the student being
dropped from the course or receiving an “F" grade.
-
-
MAKE-UPS:
-
Quizzes: There will be no make-up quizzes. Each person may drop his or her three
lowest grades at the end of the term. If a quiz is missed, that will be one of the three
grades dropped.
-
Exams: If you must miss an exam because of serious illness or other unavoidable
reason, please talk to me about a make-up (before the exam if at all possible).
You must contact me within 24 hours.
If you do not have a satisfactory reason
for missing the exam, or if you fail to talk to me within 24 hours, you will receive a
grade of zero.
