TEXT:  Interactions Two:  A Communicative Grammar, Silver Edition. This book is available in the bookstore and on-line.  Be sure to buy the Silver Edition.

MATERIALS:  a 8.5"x11" notebook

PREREQUISITE: ENSL 320/420 or ENSL 322/422 or qualifying score on ESL placement test

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this course is to improve your listening, speaking, writing, and grammar skills. We will review the grammatical system of English with many opportunities to practice what we have learned by speaking and writing.

ESL Center: There are many materials in the ESL Center that will help you learn English. Many of you will visit the ESL Center as part of your ENSL 335/435 class.

ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance in a critical part of this course. Your participation is important to the success of this course. If you miss five consecutive classes or more than ten during the course, I may drop you from the course.

GRADING: This course is a credit/no credit course. You must attain at least a "C" in the course to pass. You will be graded on in-class work, participation, homework, quizzes, and tests. There will be a midterm at the 8-week mark and a final exam. You must pass the final exam in order to pass the course.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the successful completion of this course, you will be able to: speak clearly with adequate vocabulary on subjects studied in the course; read simple passages in English; write organized paragraphs with level-appropriate grammar and spelling.
