ENSL 342/442:   The Class You Love to

Hate

Go ahead; admit it.  You were hoping to avoid this class and to go directly to Level 5.  ENSL 342/442 is high-intermediate reading, grammar, and composition class that many students believe will be a type of torture.  But it doesn't have to be torture.  In fact, this class can be rewarding and even enjoyable.  Really.

In this class we will...

• read fascinating articles and short stories
• read a screenplay and then watch the movie
• learn hundreds of new vocabulary words taken from the readings
• practice the writing skills that are required in Level 5
• review the grammatical system of English
• use computers to practice English and to research various topics

Believe it or not, this is my favorite class. Who knows?  After a little while, you might even feel the same way.
