Busi 1A Financial Accounting

This course covers accounting concepts, application of theory to accumulating and summarizing financial data, analysis and inpterpretation of financial statements.  This class is recommended for transfer majors.  Upon successful completion of this class, students should be able to prepare reliable corporate financial information, as well as analyze, communicate, and make decisions based on financial information.

It is recommended that students complete Busi120A, basic accounting before taking this class.  Business 120A spends more time on the basic procedures of bookkeeping, providing excellent practical job training and a solid foundation for Busi1A.

Students should be eligible for Math263 and Engl1A before entering Busi1A.  This class assumes certain mathematical and writing skills, and is particulary challenging without those skills.  Please see your academic advisor for further information and planning assistance.
