Required Textbook:              Multinational Management—A Strategic Approach, by John B. Cullen, 1999. Bring the textbook and your notes to each class session.

 Course Description:             Survey of major issues associated with doing business in an international environment. Topics include: International trade, balance of payments, cultures, politics, and international management strategies.

 Objectives:                            Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

                                               F     Demonstrate an understanding of international business concepts and practices.

F     Appreciate cultural differences in business dealings.

F     Identify trade issues and ethical considerations in the international arena.

F     Recognize the impact of technology on the growth of international business.

F     Identify successful management strategies used in international companies.

 

 

 

Evaluation

Class Participation and Attendance: Learning is enhanced through dialogue and discussions. You will be expected to share thoughts on how the reading reflects today's work environment. Students will be dropped automatically after the 4th unaccounted absence.
