Read Chapter 3 of Chemistry, The Molecular Science by Moore, Stanitski, and Jurs.  

Study the following objectives in the Chemistry 1A booklet. 

All Objectives for Chapters 1 and 2. 

Objectives 1-18 in Chapter 3

The things you need to memorize include

The glossaries found in the booklet for Chapters 1 and 2

Test your skills on the glossary terms by working the glossary quizzes for Chapters 1 and 2.

Make study sheets for

Rounding off answers from calculations (See Sample Study Sheet 2.1: Rounding off Numbers Calculated Using Multiplication and Division on pages 20-22 of the 1A Booklet and Sample Study Sheet 2.2: Rounding off Numbers Calculated Using Addition and Subtraction on page 24 of the 1A Booklet.)

Unit conversions (See Sample Study Sheet 2.3: Calculations Using Unit Analysis on page 25 of the 1A Booklet.)

Short answer objectives 2, 3, 4, 5 for Chapter 3

Predictions using Electronegativities (See Sample Study Sheet 3.1: Electronegativity, Types of Chemical Bonds, and Bond Polarity on page 41 of the 1A Booklet.)

Attend SI sessions (for a general orientation to the course, for specific questions, for help with possible quiz questions,...)
