Things to do by the end of Week 9 of Chemistry 1A.

If necessary, reread selected sections in Chapter 6 of Chemistry, The Molecular Science by Moore, Stanitski, and Jurs.   

Study the following objectives in the Chemistry 1A booklet. 

  All Chapter 6 objectives.

  Objectives 1-7 in Chapter 7

Prepare sample answers to the following short answer objectives in Chapter 7: 1-7.

Make study sheets for the following types of calculations.

  General Law of Hess problems

  Heat of formation problems

Prepare for the next quiz. The possible quiz questions are at the following web address.

Prepare for the second exam.

Pay special attention to the following objectives.

Chapter 5: 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, objectives relating to the identifications of weak and strong acids and bases, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, and 28-40

Chapter 6: 3, 4, 9, 13, 14, 15, 20, 25, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 36, and 37

Chapter 7: 2, 6, and 7

Begin to look at the Fall 2006 sample exam 2.
