Things to do by the end of Week 2 of Chemistry 2.

If necessary, reread at least selected sections in Chapters 1-3 of An Introduction to Chemistry by Mark Bishop. Read Chapters 4, 5 and 6.

Study all of the objectives for Chapters 4 and 5 and objectives 1-12 and 23-25 for Chapter 6. 

Study the glossary terms for Chapters 1-3, and work the glossary quizzes on the Internet. The Chapter 6 glossary terms will be on exam 2.

Memorize the following

Convince yourself that you can work end-of-chapter problems in Chapters 4, 5, and problems 5-9, 20, 21, 29-52, and 65-70 of Chapter 6.

Prepare short answers for the following objectives.

Chapter 4: 7, 8, 14, 21, 23, and 25

Chapter 5: 7

Prepare your 3 inch by 5 inch index card for the exam.

Prepare for the first exam.

Be sure that you can meet the following objectives.

Chapter 4: 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 29, 30, and 31

Chapter 5: 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, 17, 20, 21-25, 30,

Chapter 6: 1-12 and 23-25

Look at the sample exams. Because we're using the new version of the text, our first exam will include problems similar problems on the sample exams 1 and 2.
