Word Form

In the two examples below, the student has used the wrong
form of the word he or she needed:

    a.  The achievement-oriented workaholic wants to
success.  (should read "succeed," the verb form)

    b.  Their spouses feel physically abandonment.
(should read "physical," the adjective form)

    c.  The painting is beauty.  (should read "beautiful," the
         adjective form)

If you have a problem with word form, be sure to use a
dictionary to check yourself.  A dictionary will indicate that
"success" is a noun (n.) and "succeed" is a verb (v.).

I will also sometimes mark verb problems like the ones below
as word form problems:

    d.  This addiction is going to affecting them in the future.
(should read "affect," the simple form)

    e.  My conclusion is that been lonely could lead to
addictive behavior.  (should read "being," the
         gerund form)
