Distillation

Another fundamental separation and purification technique used on liquids. There are a number of important variations: simple distillation, fractional distillation, and vacuum distillation. An important associated technique is drying of organic liquids, and you may need to do a preliminary filtration at some point.

NOTE: You will not be using the liquids which are listed in the text.
The table below includes the liquids which you will use instead.
