Accreditation

Background material for the Accreditation Report:

Accreditation Standards are open for review.

Here is an incomplete draft of potential suggestions.

We will see a resolution about this at the Spring Plenary

In this public comment period, it may be interesting to look at other accrediting institutions' standards; here are three examples:

North Central Association Higher Learning Commission

Middle States Commission on Higher Education

Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities

Accreditation Resolution:

Will be on the next College Council Agenda on April 22 and a placeholder for the board meeting the next day on April 23.

College Council (met April 8)

Re-engaged with the Board Policy revision process.

Approved a motion that Administrative Procedures should be placed next to board policies on the web page so that all can access easily.

Continued efforts on Mission and Goals/Objectives; we will see a draft version of the Mission Statement today.

AAAG (met April 16)

Approved administrative ability to insert GEOs on the Curricunet form for GE courses. (Alternative is to ask individual faculty members to do this).

Approved the Pre-requisites and Co-requisites board policy that Academic Senate approved on February 21, 2013.

Now it goes on to the College Council
