A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself.  What a man can do, he must do.  He must be true to his own nature

Welcome to my home page!  The links on this page have been designed to help you find the career counseling information you will need to plan your future.

As a community college counselor, my role is to guide students academically, to assist them with personal issues, and to help them formulate career plans.  Career counseling, however, has been the focus of my work at MPC.  I have a Master of Science Degree in Counseling with a Career Development Option, and I am a California Registered Professional Career Counselor   Helping people find their life’s mission has been a continuing source of fulfillment for me.

Several links on the side menu will provide you with current career information.  The MPC Career Services site has been designed to help students learn about themselves, explore careers, and develop job search skills. PERS 71 will take you to the syllabus of the course that I currently teach. Careerlink is an online career development system that is a product of the MPC Counseling Department.  Feel free to use any of the resources on this site, but please plan to see a counselor to help you sort through the information.

If you are unsure of your career direction or are an adult in transition, I would welcome the opportunity to work with you.   In addition to PERS 71, I also assist enrolled students with career development issues in one-on-one counseling sessions, and I offer a number of career workshops throughout the semester.

Workshops:

September and March :

Choosing the "Right" Career (I'm So Confused!)

October and April:
