California COSEE arranged for high school and community college students in Hawaii to attend
portions of the
2004 American Society of Limnology and Oceanography
(ASLO)/ The Oceanographic Society (TOS) Ocean Research Conference.
It was a fabulous experience for everyone involved!
Almost 100
students and their teachers, parents, and instructors (16 adults total) attended the conference on Tuesday
and Thursday, February 17 and 19, 2004, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. The groups
viewed scientific posters from 10:00
am to 12:00 pm, and then participated in panel discussions with invited scientists.
