Students signing up for this class will be able to work on micro controlled projects of their own interest, or develop robotic control systems such as a joystick or PlayStation interface) for the companion class competing in the MATE 2004 national ROV competition (MATE 296.5)
We'll be extending some of the concepts introduced in ENGR 50, but it is not necessary to take that class before this one. In this class you get to work at your own pace on projects that interest you (using materials we have on hand, such as additional educational kits--or purchase your own), with the guidance and support of the instructor.
This class is open to anyone with a desire to explore what robots (and modern electronics) are all about.
